Ruth and Mark’s Bressingham Hall Wedding

Engaged on Christmas Day and married just eight months later, Ruth and Mark’s wedding at Bressingham Hall & High Barn was everything a countryside celebration should be — heartfelt, full of laughter, and bathed in golden light.

As a Norfolk wedding photographer, I’ve shot at many venues, but Bressingham Hall always stands out. The setting is timeless: stunning landscaped gardens, open skies, and that iconic merry-go-round that never fails to bring out everyone’s inner child. Ruth and Mark couldn’t resist — their laughter as they rode the carousel together might just be my favourite image from the entire day.

The grounds at Bressingham Gardens are nothing short of magical. Every path and flowerbed feels designed for storytelling — perfect for those quiet, romantic portraits as the sun dips low. During golden hour, light streamed through the trees, wrapping the newlyweds in a warm glow that made for some unforgettable photographs.

Bressingham’s charm lies in its mix of elegance and nostalgia. The High Barn hosted a celebration that felt effortlessly personal — rustic beams, soft lighting, and a crowd that knew how to celebrate. Ruth and Mark brought the countryside to life, even featuring their 700kg prize-winning bull, Levi, in the day’s story — a true first for me!

As the evening settled, we stole away into the gardens for a few final frames — a moment of calm for the couple to take it all in. These are the kind of images that define what I love most about wedding photography: honest emotion, natural beauty, and a story that feels real.

If you’re planning a wedding at Bressingham Hall & High Barn or searching for a Norfolk wedding photographer who’ll capture your day as it truly feels, I’d love to hear from you. Let’s make your story shine.
